Lion Judo Belt Purple
In Japan, the purple belt belongs to the official kyu grading system established in the Kodokan (Jigoro Kano). The purple belt is equivalent to the brown belt, but the difference is that the brown belt is awarded to seniors and the purple belt to juniors. There are also clubs in Europe that use the official kyu grading system of the Kodokan.
Lion offers club judo belts in all common colors, including a purple belt. The Lion judo belt is a high-quality judo belt; the purple belts are strong and double-stitched. All belts feature the Lion emblem.
The purple belts are available in both small and large sizes. Of course, Lion judo belts fit perfectly with Lion judo uniforms.
The belts are highly recommended, both in terms of price and quality.
What size judo belt do I need?
The size of the judo belt is measured in centimeters. Sizes start at size 200 (200 cm) and are available in increments of 20 cm up to and including size 330. According to the official regulations, both ends of the judo belt should be 20 cm long.
The approximate rule of thumb for determining the correct size is:
Your height + 100 cm = size. Then round up to the exact measurement. For a slim build, round down to the nearest available belt size; for an average or larger build, round up to the nearest available belt size.
Embroidering a name on the belt
All Lion judo belts can be embroidered. This way, you can always find your own judo belt. You can have your judo belt embroidered with a name or, for example, the Japanese characters for “Judo.” First, order the belt in the shop and then select an “embroidery belt” option.
